What Travel Influencers Aren’t Telling You (But I Will)

Let’s cut the crap: your feed is full of influencers posing with Aperol spritzes in Santorini, pretending they just happened to stumble across the most photogenic spot at golden hour. What you’re not seeing? The 200 other people behind them trying to get the same damn shot—and the brand deal that paid for it all.

Behind those polished posts are comped flights, staged “local” experiences, and zero concern for whether it’s actually worth your time or money. Influencer travel is a highlight reel curated for likes, not reality.

Here’s what they won’t admit:

✘ Most of it is free. They're not paying for that luxury hotel, that first-class seat, or that private excursion. You are—when you follow their links or chase their lifestyle.

✘ The ugly stuff gets cropped out. That “hidden gem” beach? Overrun. That cute street market? Full of pickpockets. That local delicacy? Probably spit out after the photo was taken.

✘ You’re not part of the equation. Your budget, accessibility needs, safety concerns, or desire for meaningful travel? They’re not selling that. They’re selling an aesthetic.

You deserve more than filtered fantasies and affiliate links. You deserve travel that works for you—your priorities, your real life, your version of adventure.

That’s where I come in. I’m not here to sell someone else’s dream—I’m here to help you live yours, no smoke, no mirrors, and definitely no BS.
